The announcements of job loss in June for the airline industry are staggering:

• At the start of June, Continental Airlines shared is plan to eliminate roughly 3,000 jobs and ground planes.
• Tuesday, June 24th, USA Today reports plans by United Airlines of cutting 950 pilots. That is 15% of the total number of their pilots.
• At the end of week, American Airlines is discussing a job cut of about 8% of its job force.
• Airline bankruptcy tally for 2008: Aloha Airlines, ATA, Frontier Airlines, Gemini Air Cargo
