Air Traffic Controller Specialist – Various LOGCAP positions worldwide to include but not limited to Kuwait, UAE, Iraq, Philippines, Afghanistan, Balkans and Africa. Under general supervision, controls air traffic and supports vectoring of aircraft to meet mission test requirements.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Applicants should be aware that some positions/locations could involve working in a potentially dangerous environment.
Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Specialized training or professional registration or certification preferred.
Experience: Five-eight years of directly related experience required. Minimum of four years experience in a RADAR facility or Control Tower required. Must have a professional knowledge of air traffic control rules, and regulations, techniques, and the ability to apply this knowledge to a Terminal Air Traffic Control (ATC) Tower Facility. Must be a graduate of an approved DOD or FAA ATC air traffic controller course. Must possess FAA form 7220-1. Prior (or current) certification as an Air Traffic Controller in an enroute or approach/tower environment is required. Candidates must be conversant with ICAO documentation. Must possess a valid Second Class or First Class Medical Certificate (FAA Form 8500-9) at time of employment. Knowledge of air traffic control operations required. Excellent computer, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret required. As a contractor to the United States Department of Defense, applicant must be able to secure an interim United States Department of Defense security clearance at the Secret Level.
