This section features major airlines registered and based in Canada.

Air Canada has long been known as the flag carrier for Canada. Over time, discount airlines such as WestJet have started business while charter operators such as Air Transat and Sunwing Airlines have made a name for themselves.

In response to the greater competition, Air Canada has spun off a discount version of itself, Jazz, which competes with the next biggest air carrier, WestJet, to serve a populace seeking low fares.
