Job Description:
Perform the day to day interface between the JV network and the departure gateways. Gather and analyze data to determine freight booking thresholds on U.S. export cargo flights. Maintain and refresh data on a regular basis, making appropriate adjustments as necessary. Utilize pallet equivalent conversion, inventory and revenue management tools to adjust cargo capacity on a flight by flight basis 8 days prior to departure. Manually process specified booking requests of special shipments of unique size, value and/or handling requirements. Analyze and determine the priority of shipments on day of flight, advise the ground handling agent the order of movement. In overbooking situations, is the final arbiter of shipment priorities. Consults with sales assistants and service center personnel to take necessary actions to fill underutilized flights. Practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Take route/pricing direction from Route/Pricing Analyst. Interacts with all levels of the JV personnel, and Operations personnel among member airlines and some external customers.
Job Requirements:
-College degree or higher preferred, with emphasis on math.
-Must be able to work under pressure and be a team player.
-Should have two to five years experience in air freight customer service or traffic environment.
-Must be able to relate to others in a multi-cultural environment, possess strong communications skills, handle multiple tasks at once, possess a strong sense of spatial relations and math ability, and have a keen attention to detail.
-Must have proficient Microsoft Office software knowledge (computer literate).
-Must be able to execute to goals, analyze and draw appropriate conclusions from data, make appropriate decisions, coordinate parent company operations personnel successfully as needed, and have a strong sense of customer service and sales mindedness.
-Prior ramp/loadmaster and supervisory experience strongly preferred.
-Knowledge of member aircraft types and cargo operations is needed.
