JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Dispatcher will support the Aircraft Dispatcher, disseminate information for the operation and update and maintain systems and manuals. This is an entry level position which has potential of filling future UPS Aircraft Dispatcher positions in a growing global market.

All applicants must possess the following basic qualifications:

FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
Basic air carrier operations control knowledge from FAR Part 135, 119 or 121 Domestic, Flag or Supplemental operation or similar military experience
Five (5) years total dispatching experience
Minimum of two (2) years of International Dispatching experience in the NOPAC, NATL, Europe, Middle East, South American and Russian Track Experience
Ideal candidate will possess the following:

Associates degree in an aviation related field
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a large dispatch office and multi-task handling stressful situations
Technical aptitude and computer skills
Jet Experience with the B747, B767, B757, A300, MD11 and DC-8
Position is located in Louisville, KY without company-paid relocation funds.

FLIGHT DISPATCHER (OPERATIONS CONTROLLER) – NORWALK, CT - Southern Air

Candidate must have a current FAA Dispatcher Certificate.  Previous aviation experience a must, 747 exp. a plus, and international experience preferred.  Job requires that candidate have experience with monitoring, analyzing and/or calculating various flight factors such as weather reports and NOTAMs, runway performance, airport curfews, weight and balance issues, ATC preferred routes, distance, and fuel needs to create and/or update flight plans.  Aviation desired, preferably with a Part 121 airline.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment on rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends and holidays).  Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Eastman Kodak Company is seeking a Administrative Dispatcher to join our Corporate Finance Group, located in Rochester, NY.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies to remain compliant with same in all operations.
· Coordinates w/assistance from the Chief Pilot and the Manager Technical Support, vacation, training, and other events affecting flight crews and maintenance into the scheduling of aircraft and crews to allow optimum availability and efficient operations. Aviation specific software currently used is Flight Operating System by Computer Technologies for Aviation.
· Receives trip requests and processes them in accordance with company policies.
· Maintains relationships with passengers, maintenance, and crewmembers that result in effective communications.
· Advises passengers and crewmembers of potential weather issues in a timely manner to circumvent scheduling problems.
· Develops contingency plans to cover emergences such as mechanical breakdowns, crewmember illness, short notice emergency flights, or preempted flights.
· Schedules crewmembers to distribute an equal share of the workload considering: nights away from home, weekend flight, unusually strenuous flights and a number of days worked.
· Responsible for securing services required to support passenger and crew needs including arranging Fixed Base Operations, catering,
· Provides budget and flight information as requested by the Chief Pilot
· Responsible to ensure that all required manuals and other resources are current, available , and accessible at workstation.
· Maintain appropriate records as required by Federal Aviation Regulations and Eastman Kodak Company Aviation Services policies. Includes database for airports and passenger contact information.
· Responsible for obtaining permits and visas for passengers and crew to allow flight into foreign countries.
· Remain current on resources available and training opportunities to facilitate an effective scheduling operation.
· Provide communications, office, and facility support to Aviation Services staff, passengers, and visitors consistent with customer expectations.
· Administrative/clerical duties as required, word processing, travel arrangements, meeting scheduling, invoice processing and all secretarial/administrative activities.
· On call during off hours
· Other duties as assigned by the Chief Pilot.
