Description:
Maintenace instructors conduct both model-specific and generic training courses for airline and MRO maintenance personnel. Evaluate student progress using both formal and informal methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Instructing - teach maintenance type-training classes, using both classroom and hands-on training methods. This includes but is not limited to ensuring proper set up of training materials and presenation equipment, OJT traiing on the aircraft, OJT training in aircraft simulator, and proper evaluation of student progress.
* Curriculum enhancement - make changes to course lesson plans, currila, and other components of maintenance training courses and products to improve quality and maintain technical accuracy. Develop and present proposals to improve current training courses, products,and other services.
* Perform duties as an AMTO Knowledge Examiner (KE) and/or Practical Assessor (PA).
* Professional/Technical Expertise - Has thorough knowledge of the job; demonstrates technical and functional skills; keeps informed of latest industry developments. Be able to conduct level III training for multiple subjects on one aircraft model.
* Organization and Accomplishment of Work - Plans, prioritizes, completes work efficiently and cost effectively; manages multiple tasks simultaneously while achieving expected amount and quality of work.
* Communication - Manages effective flow of communication; uses appropriate style, grammar and tone in both written and verbal communication. Contributes to meetings and group settings.
* Customer focus - Demonstrates a sense of urgency when working with both internal and external customers; available and responsive to customers’ needs and continuously seeks opportunities to satisfy customers’ expectations.
