The Ramp Service Agent is responsible for loading, unloading, transporting mail, luggage and freight safely and efficiently. As part of Delta’s ground crew, you’ll be working in an enjoyable team environment and making sure that our passengers’ baggage arrives safely when they do. Ramp operators lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft. They also operate ground support equipment such as tugs, conveyor belts and tow tractors.

The Airports Ground Operations Crew will load and unload customer luggage, meet arriving flights, help prepare and clean cabin for departure, operate ground service equipment, assist with fleet servicing, assist Customers with special needs, and any ad-hoc requests as needed. Depending on location, the Airports Ground Operations Crew will load and unload provisioning items for each flight.

This is an outdoor position that includes the following:

- Driving tugs and trucks
- Hooking up ground power units
- Loading and unloading checked bags, mail and freight
- Filling out cargo loading form
- Sorting bags
- Maintaining safety standards
- Assisting disabled passengers
- Lifting, bending, stooping and walking
- Coordinating passenger guidance
- De-icing airplanes
- Directing airplanes
- Commissary and lavatory services (STL only)
