Ground Instructor; GA

Inflight Training Ground Instructor

Atlantic Southeast Airlines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SkyWest, Inc., seeks an experienced Ground Instructor to join the Inflight Training team at our Atlanta, GA headquarters. Responsibilities will include:

• Facilitating company and regulatory training for new hire flight attendants including classroom lectures, PowerPoint presentations, classroom discussions, accompanying trainees on IOE flights, and performing monthly compliance check rides

• Performing and certifying hands-on requirements for all ASA aircraft and emergency equipment

• Facilitating recurrent ground training, additional compliance focus training as requested by Inflight Operations, and Phase II training or other special training events as scheduled and assigned by the Manager of Inflight Training

• Assessing student progress and learning through observation, verbal interaction and written exams

• Performing administrative duties including assistance with curriculum review and development, completing/submitting training record forms to Training Supervisor, and managing training files and documentation of training performance for proficiency tracking

• Maintaining knowledge and expertise of all current flight attendant related regulatory issues (i.e. emergency training, security, flight procedures, CRM, aircraft equipment, etc)

• Performing monthly Compliance Check rides

• Assisting Training Supervisor with student summary evaluations

• Coaching, counseling and problem solving with new-hire trainees and recurrent training students as necessary

• Assisting in the education of flight attendants concerning questions of all new bulletins, revisions to FAM and operations procedure/policy changes

The qualified candidate will possess line flight attendant experience, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong team orientation. Prior presentation experience as well as creativity and experience in technical writing and courseware design are highly desirable.
