The announcements of job loss in June for the airline industry are staggering:
- At the start of June, Continental Airlines shared is plan to eliminate roughly 3,000 jobs and ground planes.
- Tuesday, June 24th, USA Today reports plans by United Airlines of cutting 950 pilots. That is 15% of the total number of their pilots.
- At the end of week, American Airlines is discussing a job cut of about 8% of its job force.
