Manager, Mechanic – American Eagle – Gwinn, MI

Direct and coordinate the overall operation of aircraft maintenance both scheduled and unscheduled.  Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with company policies, FAR’s, maintenance programs and OSHA and FAA regulations.  Schedule manpower to accomplish the workload and ensure personnel are properly trained.  Provide proper supervision of all activities and personnel.  Resolve issues and problems to ensure time-lines are met.  Analyze costs, prepare budget reports and reports on departmental activities.  Evaluate performance and develop goals and objectives for department and direct reports.

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have at least two years of supervisory experience in aircraft maintenance and .  Embraer (ERJ) qualified is preferred.  Must be knowledgeable of FAR’s, budget processes and labor contracts.

Education/License: Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license is required.  Embraer (ERJ) qualified is preferred.

Citizenship: US citizen or possess the legal right to work in the United States.

Employment Requirements: TSA regulations require a fingerprint based criminal history records check for all employees with unescorted ramp access.  The background check must be completed prior to any individual assuming this position.  This job is subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing.  Additionally, previous employers will be contacted to verify any DOT drug violations and/or refusals to test from the past two years.
