Job Description:
The Marketing Communications Strategy Manager is responsible for partnering with Marketing and other stakeholders to recommend strategic direction on what, when, where and how to communicate to customers globally. The Marketing Communications Strategy Manager will utilize data and insights from various departments, markets, and agency resources to formulate recommendations for communication plans, budget/resource allocation, and channel strategy. Additionally the Marketing Communications Strategy Manager will project manage the communications plan, provide campaign direction and coordinate implementation across Marketing Communications for high priority projects.
Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities
Partners with stakeholders including Analytics Manager to analyze revenue data, point of origin data, purchase channel data, new product or service information, market conditions, competitive landscape, media cost trends, brand equity metrics, Marketrak ? conditions, etc. to create holistic marketing communications. Utilizes input from Regional District Sales Managers, Country Managers, Regional Vice Presidents, and other internal stakeholders on local market objectives and competitors. Provides support defining and prioritizing marketing communications initiatives requiring holistic solutions. Supports Manager, Marketing Communications for key communications projects including international premium travel experience, fare sales, route launches and corporate sponsorships by identifying target audiences, key messaging, and timing. Partners with Media Planning Manager to recommend budget allocations for key initiatives and develop, approve and execute the supporting channel strategy. Supports Manager, Marketing Communications with the assessment, selection and execution of campaigns to support key initiatives. Project manages key communication efforts throughout Marketing Communications using project management tools. Identifies and champions implementation of process improvements to streamline marketing communication efforts to improve efficiencies and quality of communications. Works with Marketing Communications controller to plan, track and report on Marketing Communications budget. Works with agencies to maintain marketing communications competitive landscape. Documents and maintains a hybrid calendar encompassing new product initiatives, routes, partnership opportunities, Mileage Plus program enhancements, eCommerce initiatives, sales initiatives, and Corporate Communication initiatives.

Interfaces with Customer Analytics, Revenue Management, Sales, eCommerce, Mileage Plus, Scheduling, Corporate Communications, Customer Experience, Public Relations, and Planning Resources at Marketing Communications agencies

Qualifications
Required Skills/Background
The qualified candidate will have 5-7 years advertising or Brand Marketing experience. Airline industry experience is preferred.
Education
B.A./B.S.-Marketing is required; graduate degree is preferred
