Description
ConocoPhillips Alaska Aviation is currently recruiting for a Reservationist position. This position serves as an individual responsible for providing customer services in support of our Shared Services Aviation Central Reservations office.
Responsibilities:
* This position is the primary focal point for aircraft scheduling and passenger reservations for ConocoPhillips and BP Explorations North Slope Shuttle services.
* The position encompasses scheduling and reservation processes necessary for Shared Services Aviation operations. Must be adaptable to tackle new & challenging tasks as situations necessitates.
* Per established procedures coordinates air travel (both commercial and aboard two company operated leased Boeing 737 aircraft) between Anchorage, Fairbanks and the North Slope for ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc. and BP Exploration employees and contract employees; coordinates local air transportation between North Slope fields and remote Native Villages and staging areas using 1 DHC-6 Twin Otter and 1 CASA 212.
* Sets or adjusts schedules, based on North Slope field requirements, in the event of weather/mechanical delays or Medevacs disseminating pertinent flight information to users as appropriate.
* Coordinates and disseminates daily flight information to Shared Services flight crews, NAAS, ticket counter and applicable North Slope personnel.
* Utilizes in-house Personnel Logistics computer system for reservation coordination activities insuring accurate input of data supporting accurate passenger manifests and reliable reporting of statistics for CPAI and BPX management.
* Coordinate and communicate aircraft schedules and pertinent passenger and operational information with Chief Pilot, Flight Crews, ground and maintenance personnel and Users.
* It is necessary for this individual to communicate with various companies and organizations to insure utilization of the air transportation system is valid.
* Per established processes requests and authorizes Travel Planner users; monitors all on-line reservation activity insuring accuracy; advises of any suspected abuse.
* Utilizes radios to insure coordination and communication activities between flight crews and ground personnel.
* Heavy phone activity to provide efficient customer services ensuring accurate and pertinent schedule and operational information when dealing with business associates, company officials, and users.
* Compiles and prepares various statistical reports and correspondence. Record passenger manifests, trip data and verify commercial billings to ensure accurate reporting for accounting issues and costs analysis.
* Provides operational back up to support ongoing day — to — day Central Reservations activities. This includes weekend, holidays and after normal business hour coverage requiring independent decision-making; must be able to perform all duties in the Central Reservations office as back up with occasional night, weekend and holiday duties as required.
* Employee must be aware of when Aviation management should be informed of unusual operating circumstances.
* Promotes a “zero incident safety culture”.
Qualifications
Basic/Required Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent.
* 3 – 5 years of administrative experience.
* 3 – 5 years of customer service experience.
* Must be able to type a minimum of 30 wpm.
* Strong verbal and written communication skill.
* Ability to manage time and prioritize duties working effectively in a team environment.
* Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Software.
* High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Must be willing to work unscheduled overtime and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of airline operations and/or North Slope terminology.
* Ability to work in a fast paced, always changing environment with minimum supervision.
* Sound judgment and demonstrated verbal and written communications.
* Ability to manage unruly passengers or difficult situations.
