Job Description:

PURPOSE:

This position will be responsible for the overall efficiency and utilization of our crew members and aircraft to maintain a successful operation. The role will partner with the Aircrew Training and Flight Departments to ensure crew members sustain their currency in the aircraft they are type rated in. The position will also work closely with all departments in the OCC. This position is considered an entry level position.

RESPONSIBILITY:
Assigns crew members to aircraft to maximize trip coverage while ensuring all trips are crewed – Requests travel through the internal CTC we page for all flight crew members positioning to an aircraft, traveling home from aircraft, and all transitions between aircraft while on duty. This will also include travel other than air travel, such as ground transportation – Responsible for assigning duty times for all pilots assigned to the schedulers fleet that are on duty – Assesses demand for upcoming day and provides recommendations for crew duty times based on geographic factors, cabin type, and departure time demand – Ensure that all crew member duty times are scheduled in accordance with FAR 135 and Flight Options SOP’s – Coordinates with Program Management on travel for training check rides and providing a training aircraft within the fleet demand constraints – Works closely with the Scheduling Flight Coordinator on assigning trips and building reposition (repo) legs for current day and future trips – Communicate changes to appropriate departments, OCC, Dispatch, Logistics, and Maintenance – Ensures that all aircraft arrive in their scheduled maintenance locations within the parameters specified by maintenance – Escalates flight concerns to the Flight Department Managers when necessary – Assist the scheduling Flight Coordinator when necessary – balance team and individual responsibilities – Exhibit objectivity and openness to others’ views – Gives and welcomes feedback – Contributes to building a positive team spirit – Puts success of team above own interests – Able to build morale and group commitments to goals and objectives – Exhibits ethical and moral behavior in everyday business conduct – Displays willingness to make decisions – Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness – Succeed by passionate attention to detail, continuous improvement and strengthening long term partnerships – Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have formal supervision responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Communicate changes effectively, strive to continuously build knowledge and skills, follow instructions, respond to management direction, demonstrate attention to detail, display awareness of current developments, complete tasks correctly and on time, completes work in a timely manner, must be able to function well under pressure situations, organization and time management skills.
Education
Associates Degree, Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a college or technical school; Dispatchers License required; or 2-4 years related experience, previous aviated experience preferred, knowledge of FARs in regard to Part 91, 121 or 135 airline operations, must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Dispatch, Flight, and Scheduling departmental standard operating procedures, proficiency with Microsoft software applications (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word and Outlook)
