Aviation Service Technician
POSITION PURPOSE
Clean aircraft (interior and exterior) and hangar, and purchase and restock supplies for aircraft cabin and for commissary.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
# Purchasing and restocking aircraft cabin supplies
# Managing aircraft cabin.
# Purchasing and restocking commissary items.
# Detailed cleaning of aircraft interior, washing exterior surfaces and polishing bright work.
# Cleaning hangar.
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Lead Line Technician.
This position has no direct reports.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age
Must pass the Drug Test
Must pass the Background Check
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
EDUCATION REQUIRED –
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
# Experience with operating aircraft towing equipment
# Experience with aircraft fueling operations and fuel farm quality control
# Experience with general facility and vehicle maintenance
# Responsible for Aircraft Launch & Recovery activities
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE – 1
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
# Knowledgeable of janitorial services, specifically building, hangar and aircraft cleaning.
# Skills – Inventory Control Experience, Effective Communication, basic Computer Skills Office 95/97 and Customer Service.
# Abilities- Able to lift 40lbs and handle multiple projects.
# Experienced with Vendor Relations, Product Purchasing, and strong Customer Service skills.
