Travel Lead | Purchase, NY
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for executing all duties of travel coordinators, as well as, overseeing the travel coordinator department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Perform routine quality control checks and other SABRE reporting as required.
• Ability to diffuse difficult situations.
• Complete understanding of all negotiated contracts and is able to provide guidance in the rules of usage to coordinators.
• Determine resolution to and pinpoint cause of issues that arise while on duty.
• Anticipates departmental needs and follows up in most appropriate way to meet those needs.
• Make suggestions for process improvement and drive the change with his/her direct leader.
• Will be the first line of communication for issues and concerns for coordinators.
• Liaison to Travel Management Company regarding discrepancies.
• Report any and all potential issues with crewmembers or coordinator staff to his/her leader.
• Monitor coordinator workflow and activity.
• Completes all duties and assigned projects in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications:
• Possess good organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to prioritize workload while handling multiple tasks.
• Must have comprehensive understanding of all negotiated air contracts and Company Corporate policy.
• Comfortable with 24-hour operations environment.
• Experience in International travel arrangements.
• Proficient in Microsoft office products.
• College course work or equivalent experience.
• 5 years experience in SABRE
• Travel Industry experience.
